Changing or scratching an entry

2 min read

Plans change, a dancer gets injured, a group loses a member, a section clashes with something else on the day. Comps handles this as "scratching" an entry rather than deleting it outright, so there's always a real record of what happened and when.

Before entries close

While a competition is still accepting entries, you can submit as many separate entries as you need, adding more sections is just entering again. There's no hard limit on how many times you come back.

After entries close

Once a section's entry window has closed, scratching goes through the organizer rather than happening instantly on your end, that's deliberate: a running order and pricing may already be locked in around who's entered, and refund rules (if any apply) are the organizer's to set and apply consistently across everyone.

Talk to the organizer directly

For anything past a simple pre-close change, the fastest path is genuinely just messaging the organizer, they own the running order and the refund decision, not Comps as a platform.
