Credits explained: where they come from and how they're used

2 min read

Credit is money an organizer has issued directly to your account, usually as goodwill after a cancellation, a scratched entry, or some other adjustment that isn't a straight refund back to your card. It shows up on your account automatically, there's nothing for you to claim or activate.

Where it applies

Credit is scoped to the organizer who issued it, not usable across every competition on Comps. The next time you check out with that specific organizer, it's applied automatically, after any discount code, before whatever's left gets charged to your card. If your credit and a discount cover the whole total, nothing gets charged at all.

The payment panel on My Entries, where fees, a discount code, and any credit balance all combine into one final total.
The same payment panel from My Entries. Whatever you owe after a discount and credit is the only number you're ever charged.

Checking your balance

Your current credit with an organizer shows right on the payment screen when you're paying for an entry with them, no separate wallet page to go hunting through.

Credit never expires silently

It sits on your account until it's used or the organizer removes it directly, it doesn't quietly disappear after some fixed window.
