Team billing & multi-team pricing

3 min read

Each team's own billing panel sets its billing cadence, Monthly, Quarterly, or Yearly, and which payment methods it accepts, Card and/or Direct debit (BECS), along with its season start and end (billing cutoff) dates.

Billing for one specific team. Changes here apply to future signups, merges, and downgrades only, never to an existing member's active subscription by itself.

A member on two teams doesn't just pay double by accident

Up to your studio's own multi-team limit (two, by default), a student can genuinely belong to more than one team at once. Rather than simply charging each team's price separately, the Multi-Team Pricing panel lets you set one deliberate combined rate for a specific team count, e.g. any combination of 2 teams for a flat $240, priced as a single decision, not an accidental sum.

A real multi-team tier: any combination of 2 teams costs a flat $240, not each team's price simply added together. A tier scoped to specific teams wins over a generic one for the same team count.

Changing a team's billing only ever affects future charges

Adjusting price or cadence never reaches back and changes what an existing member has already been charged, it only applies going forward, from the next renewal on.
