Cross-category discounts & bundles

4 min read

Sometimes being enrolled in one category should genuinely affect the price of another, the clearest real example: a Team member getting a reduced rate on regular classes. That relationship lives in a category's own Cross-Discounts step, and in the separate Volume discounts tab for more elaborate, automatic combinations.

The category builder's Cross-Discounts step, showing 'No cross-discounts yet, and that's completely fine' with a '+ Add a cross-discount' button, and a note pointing to Volume discounts on the Categories page
Cross-Discounts, inside the builder. Optional, and most categories genuinely don't need one.

Cross-Discounts step

Pick specific teams, categories, or sessions that should bundle-discount against the one you're building, set once, applied automatically going forward, no manual price adjustment needed per student. If a student qualifies for more than one discount on the same thing, they always get whichever saves them the most.

Volume discounts, for automatic, no-condition combinations

Reached from Events → Event Categories → Volume discounts, these scale on their own with real enrollment counts, no student conditions to configure. Only real enrolled classes count, drop-ins, trials, and one-off items never qualify or count toward a tier, and all active schemes stack additively.

Step 1 of the New Discount Scheme wizard, 'Scheme type', with three options: Multiple students, By student, and By family
Step 1 of building a volume discount scheme: Multiple students, By student, or By family.
  • Multiple students. Discount scales with how many students in a family are enrolled.
  • By student. Discount scales with how many classes one student takes.
  • By family. Discount scales with total classes taken across the whole family.
Step 3 of the New Discount Scheme wizard, 'How it applies', with two options: Per item (only the Nth-and-above item gets the discount) and Blanket (once the tier is reached, everything qualifying gets the discount)
How it applies: Per item discounts only the Nth-and-above class, Blanket discounts everything once the tier is reached.
