Understanding your daily sending limit

2 min read

Every studio has a daily broadcast limit, a real cap on how many recipients you can reach across a rolling 24-hour window, not a calendar-day reset. It exists to keep sending patterns healthy and protect deliverability for every studio on Dancebase, not just yours.

The compose screen showing a live recipient preview of 43 people, above a 'When?' section with Send Now and Schedule for Later, and the note 'Goes out within the next day, not instantly. Sends are processed once daily.'
Even "Send Now" isn't instant, broadcasts are batched and processed once a day, not the moment you hit send.

What happens as you approach it

  • Nothing shows on the compose screen while you're under the limit, no running "X of Y used" counter to check beforehand.
  • Once your studio has genuinely used up today's limit, a real warning banner appears: "Daily broadcast limit reached (X/Y recipients in the last 24 hours)," and sending is blocked until it clears.
  • A studio that's genuinely outgrowing its limit can contact Dancebase to have it raised.
The compose screen with Schedule for Later selected, showing a date/time picker and the note 'Goes out on the next once-daily send after the time you pick, not necessarily right at that moment.'
Scheduling doesn't skip the once-daily batching either, a scheduled send still waits for the next daily processing run after your chosen time.

This isn't a per-broadcast limit, it's a rolling total

Two smaller sends in the same 24 hours count against the same shared limit, it's not reset just because you're starting a new compose screen.
